Yesterday started out quite good. Slept in, went for a Java House breakfast, Stopped by [livejournal.com profile] margrock and [livejournal.com profile] naz_toronto's place for a Zine meeting. [livejournal.com profile] rexodusr was there, and we set up some stuff, wrote some other stuff, and watched some Robot Chicken and Venture Brothers. It was during the latter show that things went wrong...

I got an "aura". A little speck in my vision that kept growing larger. At it's worst, I couldn't see the TV due to the distortion in my vision. [livejournal.com profile] iolarah and I had to leave early because of it. On the way home, the migraine pain started. I ended up passed out on the livingroom futon for several hours as I waited for the happy brain pills to work.

Thankfully, today I feel great!

Huh... Learn something new every day. I'll give the water bit a try... I only get them maybe 2 or 3 times a year, though... And I just got one at work like a month ago.

I hope it helps. I'm just glad you don't get the afterpain like I usually do.

The technical term is an ocular migraine, and it often doesn't have any pain with it. Sometimes a headache will follow.

Eye strain is often a trigger of an ocular migraine. You should keep track of how often and when you're having them. If headache pain starts, then it's probably a good idea to go see a doctor....
