20 years of amphetamines and failure.

Yesterday was an excellent day. iolarah and I went to Kensington and picked up some pastry-type breakfast things (A croissant, a raspberry scone, an apple pinwheel and a cinnamon crunch) from the My Favorite Bakery and a big jug of Cran-raspberry juice from Zimmermans. We walked to the little park that is just to one side of Kensington and sat under a tree and had a awesome little breakfast. We got to watch two little kids chase pigeons around and enjoy the cool morning.

Afterwords we hung out at home, occasionally playing PS2 but mostly watching TV. I fell asleep to CBC's presentation of Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Rings.

All and all a perfect day.

Had a great evening at The Den watching music videos and movie clips and horrible trailers. Sorry we had to bail on Velvet, but I'm really feeling meh and want to be in good shape for tomorrow.

So yesterday iolarah and I decided to go pay a surprise visit to Ancaster as a Mother's Day gift to my mom. Thanks to the generosity of brothermeynard we were able to make it there. He drove all the way here in fairly bad traffic, and then took us to Ancaster in also fairly bad traffic. The look of surprise on her face was totally worth the ride.

We stayed over night, and had a Mother's Day lunch with my family, then brothermeynard drove us home, and he stuck around for a bit to play Burnout 3.

Now we shall watch Cold Case episodes and await for Chicken Christmas [tm] to occur! (Everyone loves the Chicken Santa's on thier motorcycles, distributing yummy roast chickens! CHICKEN CRISTMAS!)
