When it rains...

So I'm helping iolarah add the 120gb drive to her computer, and as Windows XP is installing, the phone rings.
It turns out to be the head of the Phone Support division at West Park Healthcare Centre (I think... she used the acronym which I missed) asking about my resume I sent it. It sounds like a fairly nice job, with places to go from support to networking or programming. Handy!

Then I get on my computer, and I have an e-mail from the ISP I had the interview with a couple weeks ago... They want me to come in next week for a trial, compensated of course. If I work out, I get to negotiate my permanent contract and stay on! WOO!

My head is gonna asplode :D

<EDIT> It was Embanet Corporation that called, and they have scheduled an interview with me for 11:00 am tomorrow. The only downside is that they are at Victoria Park and Finch :-/ </EDIT>

On albino squirrels and job clothes

So iolarah and I decided to walk to the Salvation Army in Parkdale to look for some happenin' threads for interviews and potential jobs, so off we went.

As per usual, we cut through the grounds of 1001 Queen W... and lo and behold, Heather spies a albino squirrel! Sadly, we didn't have a camera.

So after that encounter, we continued on to the Sally Anne. We ended up getting two pairs of nice dressy pants, three button up shirts, two ties and a swank visor for Heather (who left hers at home!) which has a blue star on it.

Afterwards, I recalled hearing someone possibly talking about something at Queen and Roncesvalles... It might have been a Goodwill! So based on my vague recollections of something, we head off in that direction.

After many wonderful and horrible adventures, we find the Goodwill! Right where I said it would be. Except north.

So at the Goodwill, we got another button up shirt, three t-shirts (one plain white, two that Heather picked out (THEY RULE)) and a belt and another tie! Sweet haul! And all for under $50!

I'm totally ready for my interview tomorrow! And now I have a good amount of business formal wear, just in case :D
