Its a slow night.

Consisting of sitting here, watching my internal network bandwidth scroll by and chattin on IRC.

My brothers computer is puttering away in Linux, running a small perl script that is translating roughly 200 mp3s on my computer into .ogg files. Its done 65ish in about an hour or so. YAY!

Oh... I just learned a bit of a trick from Johnbot... Check out my user info and look at my 'Clients Used' section. Ain't that cool?

Hey Sam! I found a way to play Sam N Max Hit The Road under Win2K!

You download a program called ScummVM (Scumm Virtual Machine) from here... extract it to a directory (ie C:\scummvm) then copy the SAMNMAX.000, SAMNMAX.001 and MONSTER.SOU from the Sam N Max directory on the CD to the c:\scummvm directory, then from the command line (cmd in the run box) type in scummvm samnmax (from the scummvm directory, natch).

A few things don't work 100% yet (the minigames that you buy at Snuckies and the midi music) but the full talking and sound effects are there, and the game is playable.

I hope this lets you play the game! Its really funny :)

go to dBpowerAMP and download the program... then go to the Codec Central and download the OGG Vorbis plugin. Its a free program, and its the only one that I've used that hasn't crashed horribly after four encoded files.
