I'm now on Google Talk (A google implimentation of the Jabber protocol) and I'm wondering if anyone else is going to join up. All you need is either the Google Talk client, or Trillian Pro or GAIM (or any other Jabber client).

EDIT: If you want to get rid of the TrillianEbunchofnumbers after the persons name, go to Connection prefrences (on the Jabber icon) > Misc tab > uncheck "Display resource of remote user when chatting" It's as simple as that!

In other news, I wore my Docs today on my way to meet fiferboy and they cut me. They cut me bad. I was limping up Yonge street. So we stopped for his camera purchase, then stopped so I could purchase some Converse Chucks. Nice. Much happier feet!

The new and improved ScummBlog is online! Good bye Movable Type, Hello WordPress!

So Scummbox.org is back up (and has been since about 5:30ish yesterday). I have migrated from Mandrake 9.2 to FreeBSD 5.4. I'm only really having a problem with PHP and MySQL playing nice, but I'm working on that. The Ports tree is a pretty hot feature.

I found out that I had forgotten to back up my MySQL databases, so I have to find a way to import/re-add blog entries to Movable Type 3.14. Or... just go to Wordpress (once web features are working again.)

If you had an account on scummbox, message me or something and I'll recreate the account. I have the home directory contents backed up on my computer at home, so not all is lost :)

Scummbox will be going down for an unspecified amount of time as I do a OS upgrade.
