So last night a couple of co-workers and I went up Jarvis to the Red Lion after work with the intention of having a couple drinks. After the third pitcher, one of my co-workers decided to e-mail [livejournal.com profile] iolarah and say that they had kidnapped me with the intent to get wasted. So she ended up coming out as well and enjoying a bit of pub fare for dinner. So after about 6 hours, we finally tottered off to catch the street car to Bathurst, and the Bathurst bus to Lakeshore (!!?). Goddamn Bathurst bus.

All and all a very good time was had. Ubar-geeky conversations, and a lot of Keith's :)

$3 breakfast at The Kensington = awesome.
The coffee was as good as advertised (Best In The City) and the breakfast was delicious and filling... and the place had swings at two tables! (The last fact thrilled [livejournal.com profile] iolarah)
Afterwards we got an apple danish and a cherry pinwheel at My Market Bakery and ate them in the parkette in Kensington.

We also met a happy rolly kitty named Ariel (Her person was very friendly and told us all about her)

I rate this Sunday morning as TEH AWESOME.

Breakfast in Kensington Part 2: Electric Boogaloo is today :D

We're going to try to get into the Kensington Restaurant (Across from My Market Bakery) for the $3.99$2.99 breakfast. :D

And some random woman with a *really* bad bowl cut was just wandering in our back yard. When Heather confronted her and asked her who she was looking for, all she said was "Chickie? Is this number thirteen?" It was very surreal.

Yesterday was an excellent day. [livejournal.com profile] iolarah and I went to Kensington and picked up some pastry-type breakfast things (A croissant, a raspberry scone, an apple pinwheel and a cinnamon crunch) from the My Favorite Bakery and a big jug of Cran-raspberry juice from Zimmermans. We walked to the little park that is just to one side of Kensington and sat under a tree and had a awesome little breakfast. We got to watch two little kids chase pigeons around and enjoy the cool morning.

Afterwords we hung out at home, occasionally playing PS2 but mostly watching TV. I fell asleep to CBC's presentation of Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Rings.

All and all a perfect day.

This morning I left the house in a bit of a brain-fogged state. I got one alley away from the house before noticing that I had left my rings inside... soooo i went back and got them. I had to walk twice past the bag that had my sandwich in it, and both times I took no heed of it.

I hate forgetting lunch.

I would like to thank [livejournal.com profile] gothjen for the wonderful Crasin banana bread! I brought a slice to work for an after-lunch treat!

It's been non-stop here this morning... quite interesting!

OMG CHOCOLATE CHIP PANCAKES

*Ahem*

So Yesterday was fun. I went to the Toronto Comicon with [livejournal.com profile] batphantom and [livejournal.com profile] cirhosis. We met up with [livejournal.com profile] sardonyx and more different Jamie when we got there. We trolled the booths, saw some awesome indy comics (goddamn I wish I had money to buy some...) and sat in on Warren Ellis' Q&A (which was hilarious AGAIN). Afterwards I lined up (fairly close to the front of the line) for over an hour before Warren came out to start signing stuff. But I now have a dedicated and signed copy of Red/Tokyo Storm Warning. This makes me happy in the pants.

There was a LARGE amount of swag to pick up... Including (but not limited to) Batman Begins movie posters (proper double sided ones!), Aeon Flux posters, Undead 8½x11 posters, Undead stickers, House of Wax tea candles and matches, House Of Wax wax lips (groan), The Devil's Rejects mini-poster and other such sundry treats! I'm going to get a bunch of binder clips and thumb tacks so I can put them up in the office :)
